 Gangneung City is consecutively hosting festivals where visitors and residents can immerse themselves in the richness of the deepening autumn with a myriad of attractions and unique experiences.

 The 15th Gangneung Coffee Festival, held for four days from October 12 (Thu) to 15 (Sun), has expanded to two locations compared to last year and is preparing to fill the city with the tantalizing aroma of coffee by introducing new nighttime programs.

 The festival, which will be held simultaneously at both the Gangneung Speed Skating Stadium and Gyeongpo Lake Plaza, features the annually sought-after “100 Baristas 100 Flavors” hand drip performance, as well as five different competitions and more than 200 event booths where various coffees and desserts can be enjoyed.

 Notably, Gyeongpo Lake Plaza will operate a Coffee Night Market throughout the festival period until 9 p.m., which provides an opportunity to enjoy various food options, experiences, and performances in the serene autumn night beside beautiful Gyeongpo Lake.

 Since the festival will be held in two locations, shuttle buses will run between the venues at 20-minute intervals. Additionally, a stamp rally event will be conducted where visitors who collect stamps from local coffee shops will receive commemorative gifts.

 Following the Coffee Festival, the Gangneung Noodle Festival, where not only Gangneung's representative noodle dishes such as jjamppong, jangkalguksu, makguksu, and ongshimi but also various noodle dishes from around the world can be tasted, will be held in the Wolhwageori area for three days from October 27 (Fri).

 The Noodle Festival, now in its second year, plans to actively promote Gangneung's traditional noodle dishes with food booths. At the same time, it aims to create a vibrant atmosphere by incorporating busking performances and fostering a harmonious relationship with local businesses.

 In November, the Gangneung Wine Festival will offer tourists a distinctive experience with wine companies and wineries participating, where attendees can sample a wide array of wines.
