 - Wishing for the Successful Hosting of Gangwon 2024 Winter Youth Olympics -

    Gangwon State announces the “Gangwon 2024 K-Culture Festival” on January 27 (Saturday) and 28 (Sunday) in Pyeongchang and Gangneung, adding excitement to the　Gangwon　2024　Winter Youth Olympics and contributing to its successful hosting.

    ​The festival will feature globally renowned K-pop music, along with popular content such as trot and dance, and new cultural areas, including traditional dance, tae kwon do, and Fusion Gugak. It aims to engage spectators, international athletes, and local residents visiting Pyeongchang and Gangneung during the Olympics.

        On January 27 (Saturday), 4:00 p.m., at Pyeongchang Dome in Pyeongchang-gun, Daegwallyeong-myeon, the K-Culture Festival will showcase various cultural performances, including dance performances by Gangwon State Dance Company, tae kwon do demonstrations by Republic of Korea (ROK) Army II Corps Taekwondo Demonstration Team, chorus, Fusion Gugak, and increasingly popular Trot performances.

        ​Following this, on January 28 (Sunday), 4:00 p.m., at Gangneung’s Gwandong Hockey Center (Kwandong University Sebastiano Sports Center), popular artists such as ZEROBASEONE, BEBE (Street Woman Fighter 2 winning crew), VIVIZ, and Dynamicduo will energize the festival atmosphere and contribute to the Olympic fervor.

    Tickets for performances can be reserved starting 10:00 a.m. on January 5 (Friday) through Ticketlink. Each ticket costs KRW　10,000, with a maximum of four tickets per person. On the day of the performance, the entire ticket cost will be refunded in the form of local vouchers.

    Gangwon State has implemented a paid admission system to prevent no-shows and boost the local economy. However, as actual attendees will be fully refunded with vouchers, the event effectively becomes free of charge, emphasizing its role in supporting the successful hosting of the Olympics.
