- From July 4 (Fri) to August 16 (Sat), a total of 150 teams will compete in the main and final stages -

​ Gangneung City will officially start the main competition of the 2nd Gangneung busking competition ‘THE NEXT KING’ on July 4 (Fri).

 A total of 614 teams (1,803 people in total) applied for the preliminary round held from June 2 (Mon) to 25 (Wed), leading to great interest and a high participation rate, with 150 teams advancing to the main competition after screening. 

 The main stage will be held every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until August 10 (Sun) from 6:30pm, with 10 teams competing every weekend, providing the audience with emotional impact and joy. 

 In particular this year, audiences who visit the site can vote for teams they want to advance to the finals through QR codes provided after the performance, with this score reflected in the judging results.

 A flea market and food truck zone will be in operation near the stage, providing a variety of entertainment and food for the whole family.

 After the main stage is over, the long-awaited final stage will be held on August 16 (Sat). In the finals, the eight final teams selected from the main stage will compete for the last time, with a celebratory performance by top domestic singers Kim Jo-han, Loveholic’s Jiseon, and last year’s winner Grim hilde, further heightening the excitement of the final stage.
