​The 23th Gangneung International Junior Art Festival “Just Play”​​​

❍ Period

- July 30 (Tue) to Aug. 11 (Sun), 2024

❍ Venues

- Gangneung Wolhwa Street and Myeongju Art Center (exhibition hall)

❍ Performances

- The stage on Gangneung Wolhwa Street at 7:30 p.m. from Aug. 9 (Fri) to 10 (Sat)

- Performers from 7 countries including Mongolia, Japan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Thailand, and Korea

- Performances of various genres including folklore, nongak (farmers’ music), dance, classical music, choral music, band music, musical theater, etc.

- Stage performances by youth and young artists 

- A festival providing opportunities for people to take and appreciate the cultures of various countries through performances, which will also be streamed live online

❍ Exhibitions 

- Myeongju Art Center from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from July 30 (Tue) to Aug. 11 (Sun) 

- International art exchanges among youth from seven countries: Iran, Egypt, Ecuador, China, Thailand, Portugal, and Korea

❍ Exhibits 

- Genres: Painting, illustration, calligraphy, installation art, design, photography, etc.

❍ Exchanges

- Conference at Catholic Kwandong University at 3 p.m. on Aug. 8 (Thu) 

- Tour of local attractions (Jungang Market, Gyeongpo Beach, and historic sites such as Gangneung-daedohobu Government Office) from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 11 (Sun)

- Dance party and cultural exchanges at 7 p.m. on Aug. 11 (Sun)
